It's fair to say that, in general, cable television shows are more popular than network television shows
these days.
I know a lot more people that are excited about the returns of 'The Walking Dead,' 'American Horror Story' and 'Boardwalk Empire' than are excited about the return of 'Grey's Anatomy.'
Between the quality -- and the fact that most cable television seasons are much shorter (and don't boast huge breaks in the middle of the action) -- the cable television market is blowing up.
